At SAFE, we believe every family has a right to live safe, happy, and fulfilled lives. Through innovative programming, sustained commitment, and community prevention education, we are doing our part to build and sustain safer, violence-free communities. Please join us for the first annual Run/Walk for Violence Free Futures where you'll help us further our mission--one step at a time.
This is a fully virtual event, which means you can complete your chosen distance—whether it's a 1-mile walk, 5K, 10K, or 100 minutes of movement—from anywhere, at your own pace, and on your own schedule during the event period. Walk through your neighborhood, run your favorite trail, use a treadmill, or gather friends, family, or coworkers to participate together. However you choose to move, every step is a visible commitment to building violence-free futures.
Whether you're participating to celebrate the completion of the 100 Days Violence Free initiative, honor those whose lives have been impacted by violence, support survivors and their families, or stand in solidarity with your community, your participation makes a difference. Together, even from different locations, we can inspire hope, raise awareness, and demonstrate that lasting change begins with each of us.
Every step you take helps advance a shared vision of safer homes, stronger communities, and a future where everyone can live free from violence.

You can complete your challenge all at once or spread it over several days. Walk, jog, run, roll, or move in the way that works best for you. You can also create or join a team, with each participant completing their chosen challenge on their own schedule.
Most importantly, this event is about hope, awareness, and action—not speed. Whether your journey takes 20 minutes or several days, every step represents your commitment to creating safer homes, stronger communities, and violence-free futures.
Your registration is more than participation in a virtual event—it's a commitment to building a future where everyone can live free from violence. By joining the Virtual Run/Walk for Violence-Free Futures, you'll receive:
A SAFE t-shirt shipped directly to your home.
A personalized digital participant bib to print and wear during your event.
A digital finisher certificate to commemorate your achievement.
Whether you participate quietly on your own or invite others to join you, these keepsakes serve as lasting reminders that you stood alongside others in support of safer communities, healthier relationships, and violence-free futures.
